Thee Solar Factory does NOT support Industrial Solar
Our panels are not designed to be assembled in large fields for the reasons shown in these photos.
We think large solar farms are horrendous when faced with square miles of parking lots and roofs that could be covered.
What is a Solar panel?
Here are the components of a typical framed solar panel that uses a aluminum support frame.

What is the Typical Size of a Solar Panel?
ALL competing solar panels are 39.1″ to 51″ WIDE.
Thee Solar Factory produce our Solar Panels at a width that matches the span of roof truss / rafters; namely 16″ and 24″ wide.

What are the common PhotoVoltaic Cell sizes?
Thee Solar Factory could not make solar panels that perfectly fit between roof truss / rafters until 2020 when the 182mm PV cell was first produced. PV cells smaller or larger would leave large gaps within the solar panel.

What are the common Solar Panel lengths?
THEE Solar Factory produces 60” long full panels & 30” long half panels.

What are the common Solar Panel Weight?
THEE Solar Factory produces 4 panel sizes that weigh between 16 lb for largest to 6 lb for smallest.
NOTE: OSHA limits weight that 1 person can pick up to 50 lbs.
Larger panels are heavier and catch wind requiring more work by the installer.

Why did THEE Solar Factory choose 4mm glass?
For Competing Solar Panel Manufacturers, width of solar panel does not relate to thicker glass. They only care about cost of solar panel.
Even tho we have the most narrow solar panel design, we use the thickest glass because we want the strongest solar panel to widthstand
wind lifting effects no matter where the solar panel is placed on the roof.
Photo shows thickness of 5 Thee Solar Panels.
Test - Hail Stone Size vs Glass Thickness
Thee Solar Factory uses 4mm thick glass so that our panels will be able to survive larger hail stone events unlike our competitors.
Hail Test vs glass thickness courtesy of work published in Renewable Energy, is “Analysis of the hail impacts on the performance of commercially available photovoltaic modules of varying front glass thickness” (DOI: 10.1016/j.renene.2022.12.061).
What are common Solar Panel Efficiencies?
Monocrystalline PV cells are more efficient that Polycrystalline (which aren’t shown on this chart).
What this chart shows is there isn’t much difference in efficiency between monocrystalline solar panels.
THEE Solar Factory only produces monocrystalline PV solar panels with the highest efficiency that we can find.

Where to place THEE SOLAR PANELS on your roof
The following rules must be followed when installing our solar panels or wind may rip panels from roof:
Our panels are designed to withstand the greatest wind forces when placed almost anywhere on your roof and almost anywhere north of Miami, FL.
Grade 5 or better 5/16″-18 screws that are inserted in through the top clamp and must penetrate at least 3″ into roof truss or rafters.
Warranties & durability
25-year output warranty to 80% typical. Expect ~0.7%/year degradation depending on climate and maintenance.
